CBD for Pain: An Opioid Alternative & Side-effect Reducer

Both musculoskeletal and nerve pain can be treated with CBD, which binds to pain receptors as a reuptake inhibitor.

CBD prevents the breakdown of chemicals in the brain that transmit the signal of “pain,” causing your brain to tell your body that you are in less pain than you really are.

Find yourself popping Painkillers? Consider this scientific evidence:

“Since opioids are the only therapy for severe pain, analgesic [pain relieving] ability of cannabinoids may provide a much-needed alternative to opioids. Moreover, cannabinoids act synergistically with opioids and act as opioid sparing agents, allowing lower doses and fewer side effects from chronic opioid therapy. Thus, rational use of cannabis based medications deserves serious consideration to alleviate the suffering of patients due to severe pain.”

In the case of our Golden Bee Hemp Pain Salve, we use Arnica for its ability to reduce Inflammation (which CBD also does), and Menthol & Peppermint for fast icy-hot relief.

This formulation makes it easier to soothe pain and stretch through any tightness or soreness. In the case of my Grandpa J, when I gave him my pain salve to use on an injured rib, he claimed:

This makes it easier for me to stretch through my injury. It takes away my pain so I can stretch and breathe better!

When pain kicks in, it becomes important to utilize not only topical CBD, which can provide rapid relief along its other pain relieving ingredients, but internal CBD to work in the body as that reuptake inhibitor of Pain.
