CBD & Women’s Wellness: Effective on Menopause & Perimenopause Symptoms

According to consumers of our CBD products, the symptoms alleviated include anxiety, insomnia, low mood and joint pain. Many of these symptoms coincide with the pains brought on by menopause.

Studies show that CBD can help social anxiety, insomnia, depression, and may help with both falling asleep and staying asleep– both of which are particular nuisances associated with menopause.

CBD may help increase overall amount of sleep, and improve insomnia, according to research. CBD has also been shown to reduce insomnia in people who suffer from chronic pain & PTSD.

The exciting thing is that, anecdotally, people are starting to really talk about the help they receive with many of those female-centric wellness issues.

The research is still limited, but the symptoms that CBD seem to aid, albeit in animal studies, commonly experienced associations of the peri-menopause or menopause, such as low mood by boosting Serotonin levels.

For instance, a 2010 study on mice, published in the British Journal of Pharmacology, found CBD operates on the brain in a similar way to antidepressants. It was also seen to reduce depressive symptoms, according to Harvard Medical School’s online magazine, Harvard Health Publishing.

CBD has a wealth of potential, including treating many associations of Menopause, Peri-menopause, depression, anxiety, body & joint pain, sleeping disorders, and mood fluctuations.
